Delivering an Aqua Lodge by water can be no easy task! Since they are very underpowered and subject to being blown about by the wind it makes it very Challenging. Yachtsup and Capt. Todd were up to this challenge this week! We had a perfect weather window for this voyage. Leaving from Venice Beach Florida we headed to Sanibel Island and sat on the hook that night. From there we headed out in the Gulf Of Mexico in through Marco Island to Goodland, Fl. Now the challenge begins..at 5knts we had to bring extra fuel to make it to the Florida Keys in two long days. After taking on fuel we left for Shark River passing through 10,000 Islands down to Everglades National Park to sit on the hook for the night. For those of you that have never been this is one pristine Nature Preserve and very ridden with mosquitos so you must be prepared. As we departed on a beautiful Sunrise we made way down to Florida Bay to make the crossing through the straits of Florida weaving through narrow cuts and passages. Finally arriving in upper Keys at its final destination in just under 40 hours. Job well done!
